2V Geodesic Dome - Standard Hub Kit

Sonostar's 2V geodesic dome standard hub kit requires you to cut your own 1/2" Schedule 40 PVC tubing. The instruction manual inside tells you how to calculate the 2 different strut sizes, and how to drill the struts so that you won't have any issues putting the hubs and the struts together.  This is a very good beginner's project, as it contains the fewest number of hubs of any configuration.  As a general rule, it takes about as long to cut and drill the struts as it does to put the dome together.  The dome is very scalable, allowing you to build a 2V dome anywhere in size from 1 meter (3.3') to 5 meters (16.4').
