For Sonostar Standard Hubs ½” PVC Pipe

This calculator accurately measures all the strut lengths for your sphere and automatically deducts the 2.28” from the vertex-to-vertex length numbers to account for the width of the megahubs. Input the radiusof the sphere you want to build on the page with the frequency you've chosen. Using 1/2” PVC, you can go with a diameter as small as 10’ without having to heat-bend your struts. If you’re hanging your sphere with a lot of weight on it or in it, it’s best to suspend the sphere in at least 5 places, so that all the weight is not concentrated on just the top hub.
