Bubble Dome - Standard 1/2 Inch PVC Hub + Strut + Cover Kits

The 11.75’ diameter by 7' tall domes feature an all-clear PVC cover, so everything on the outside can be seen on the inside. They have two triangular windows that can zip open or closed, and a circular top vent that can be sealed off, or left partially open.  The base of the doorway is wide enough for a wheelchair, making the domes ADA compliant.  The doorway is closed with a double-stitched/ ultrasonically welded vertical zipper.  The frame is made with furniture grade PVC and injection molded hubs.  The hardware is all stainless steel.  Each dome comes with a full instruction manual on how to build it.

The Hub Kit contains all the 4-star, 5-star, and 6-star hub connectors needed to build a 3V 5/9 geodesic dome. All the hubs have 10 degrees of curvature built into each arm as well as molded holes to fit the bolts. Stainless steel nuts and bolts are included to connect the struts to the hubs. Inside the box, you’ll also find a hard rubber mallet to help you nudge any tight fitting connections together. A laminated assembly map and an instruction book make up the remainder of the kit. Hubs can be either black or white.  Count on taking at least 2 hours to build your dome.

The Bubble Dome Strut Package consists of 156 furniture grade ½” Schedule 40 PVC struts (with UV additive). The struts are all color coded for 4 different lengths, which correspond to the colors on the assembly map in the hub kit. All the struts have been pre-drilled to fit the hubs. Struts can be either black or white.

Sonostar’s Bubble Dome Cover is made of durable 650 gsm PVC, ultrasonically welded, and is designed to specifically fit the frame. It has a zippered front door, two triangular windows that can seal shut, and a canvas skirt that will make a ground level barrier to weather and animals.

Please allow 3-5 days for cover to unwrinkle in direct sunlight

The Sonostar Bubble Dome is designed to be a weather-resistant enclosure that can be easily assembled and disassembled. We recommend that you secure it to the ground once it is constructed (ground pegs are not included). More important, the Sonostar frame is solid and long-lasting – built to be durable in almost all weather conditions and engineered for maximum strength.

We have two other accessories that you might want to consider that go along with this structure.

First, we have a circular floor that is made of one solid piece of reinforced, waterproof PVC that attaches above the ground, so water and moisture can’t get in. This is especially good for wet climates, or places where you’re setting up on grass or snow or dirt. Click Here
