This is a 5V 3/8 Geodesic Dome Kit for use with 1" or 1 1/2" Schedule 40 PVC tubing. Build a dome greenhouse, PVC animal pen, Geodesic Dome aviary, dome tent, event dome and so much more.
Choose between a Basic Hub Kit, which allows you to customize your dome and cut your own PVC to build as big or as small of a dome that geometry allows, or a Hub + Strut Kit which includes cut and color coded PVC. If you don't see the size you are looking for click the custom kits button to submit and inquiry.
|1) CHOOSE KIT||2) CHECKOUT|
Choose whether you would like to order just the Basic Hub Kit and cut the struts yourself, or order the Basic Hub Kit together with a set of precut, predrilled, color-coded struts (Hub + Strut Kit).
To complete a Hub + Strut Kit order simply choose from several options based on the diameter of the finished dome.
The 5V dome, like the 3V dome, doesn't configure to half of a sphere. The 5V 5/8 dome is just a little larger than half a dome. There are nine different sized struts in Frequency 5 domes, and you can find those lengths using the Sonostar calculator. When cutting your struts, we suggest you wrap a piece of colored electrical tape around each different length strut so you can identify them without having to measure them all over again. This MegaDome Hub Kit can be assembled as a more permanent structure using glue or welding, or you can use the provided nuts and bolts so that the dome can be assembled and disassembled over and over.
